1999 First book self published, "Revolution is slow".
1999 St Michaels Uniting Church Melbourne - Dr Francis McNab - used poetry from Revolution is slow book. Poetry reading October 17.
1998 First solo in London.  Trip to Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Brugge, London) research.
1997 Held art exhibition of QE2 related works on board the floating city on its Sydney-Darwin  leg of its 1997 world cruise.
1996 Qantas commission leading to Transatlantic crossing on the QE2 to gather material.
1995 Worked on the New World order series.
1995 Opened artists studio gallery in Broome.
1994 Raised $4000 for the Royal Flying Doctor by way of exhibition at Cable Beach Club,Broome.
1992 Kakadu Expedition (travel through parts of Kakadu NT)

Travelled to NT then onto North West,working at Sandfire in Great Sandy desert.

Expeditions to the Lost river and the Eighty Mile Beach.

Painting part time.
1984 Travelled to Katherine, NT. Worked as 2nd chef and Pizza cook. Didn't like town life and took job as barmaid, cook at Mataranka hotel.

Started painting again for the first time since leaving school.
1983 Worked for Anna ck station as main cook, camp cook and jillaroo.
1982 Worked for outstation, Stuarts ck, Simpson desert as cook, jillaroo and stationhand.
1981 Moved to Anna ck station in the Simpson desert for rabbit and fox shooting.  Building suspension stock yards and fences with partner on Anna ck station.
1980 Moved to Kulgera on the Northern Territory border with SA , rabbit shooting camps.
1979 Introduced to the spoggy shooters and the "Ferile animal hunters", trapped and shot ferile rabbits, cats and foxes for a living for the next 3 years,learnt and ,mastered the skinning of foxes and 6000 ways to trap and cook a rabbit.

Professional whiting and shark fishing off the Ceduna coast.
1978 Worked on Nullabour Plains as a cook.
1977 Left Melbourne and travelled alone to Adelaide to look for outback work.
1976 Worked in knitting factory, worked as a cleaner, housemaid and service station attendant.

The Captains Table. This work was commissioned by Qantas. As part of a series of covers they put out using prominent Australian Artists. Qantas sent Norton to Southampton UK to board the QE2 to do the transatlantic crossing on board the QE2 to New York where she collaborated the imformation for the painting. The painting "The Captain's Table" is now on display in Qantas Clubs collection.
